NYC Half Marathon Training Run (20/45)

6.25mi; 8:45 min/mi; 150 ave. bpm; 8, 185 steps

It has been a few days, since I last posted. This will be a quick post because I have to do some real work.

I finally had the opportunity to start running outdoors again - this "winter" has been so weird. Temps in the 50s one day . . . 30s and snow on another day.

The Run:

According to my training run, I had to run 6 miles but I decided to run 6.25 miles because June 25th is my birthday. My plan for the run:

  • 2 miles easy pace
  • 3 miles fast - I tried to maintain an 8:15 min/mi pace
  • 1 mile easy

verall, the run went well, except for the first 0.5 miles. I ran from the gym to Central Park, so there was a lot of stop and go. However, it was smooth sailing once I was in the park.

Post Run:

I decided to treat myself to a Croque Madam and a glass (or four glasses) of wine. For some reason, I have been craving Croque Madams for the past week. Plus, I was in the neighborhood of one of my favorite restaurants, L'express, so I made it happen.

Doesn't it look delicious?

What French meal is complete without a nice glass of wine?

There was some more stuff that I was going to write, but I have been finding that Squarespace's interface for blogging is really slow and annoying.
