LPS – Disko
Final Thoughts:
I like the groove and vibe of the song because I am a bit of a fan of disco sounds. Man, had I been alive during the 70s, I probably would have been at a disco every freaking weekend. While I think the lead singer has a decent voice, the performance is not really giving much. I don’t know, but the band and the lead singer seem a bit impersonal and unengaging. Perhaps, that’s the style they were going for. For Disko, I think the performance would have been elevated, perhaps, with a couple of disco dancers on the stage. Yes, I know that’s pretty obvious, but my creativity levels are quite low. today. Then again, I do not know if this would be possible because only six people are allowed on the Eurovision stage, and there are five folks in LPS. I feel like this one will get lost in the shuffle and probably will not qualify

ANA SOKLIČ TINA – AMEN
Semi-final results: 13th place out of 16 performances (44 total points – 36 national juries and 8 public votes).
Final results: Since she did not place within the top ten in her semifinal heat, she did not qualify for the final.
Y’all know that I like a female singer that sings in a low register. Honestly, this was one of my favorite songs of the competition. Since it was more of a ballad, I had a feeling that it was not going to move on into the finals. Many of the ballads in Eurovision 2021 did not do so well in their semifinal rounds. For Eurovision 2021, I think most folks wanted more dancey, poppy, and happy songs because Eurovision 2020 was canceled due to the pandemic. That said, I found Amen to be very inspirational, especially with the following lyrics: You’ll be scarred unto your core, but it’s gonna make you who you are. When ya learn to heal. When ya learn to rise again. You can tell the sun, “Amen”
